Mid-Range Practical Rifle

Gear Requirements:

• scoped bolt action rifle with minimum optic range 9xmagnification (call for parameters)
• bi-pod or sandbags
• shooting mat
• 200 rounds
• spotting scope or minimum 10x binoculars

Part 1: Sight In and velocity check, basic internal / external ballistics, bolt fundamentals, calibrating “hunting accuracy” for your rifle at 100-300 yards, fast acquisition pressure training, positional shooting and dry fire homework.

Part 2: 300-600 yard training. Accuracy absolutes, close range to mid range shooting technique, optics 101, point blank / point of impact and hold over calculations, wind effect, and mastery of mid-range targets with hunting accuracy.

Hunting Accuracy = Consistent hits within an 8″ target at up to 600 yards.

As recreational shooters and hunters, take time additional to your 100 yard sight in shot to master efficient target acquisition and consistent mid-range accuracy – It’s your ethical responsibility to understand your equipment and your own abilities before you enter the field.
