Day 2: Upper Susitna Shooters Association, Talkeetna, 10am-6pm
Our Mid-range Practical Rifle course builds on what you learned in Intermediate Bolt or Carbine Rifle and brings you into the next tier of precision with your firearm platform. The goal is clear: develop your ability to send consistent, accurate groups from 100 to 600 yards under pressure and from less-optimal positions. As skills and equipment allow, many shooters extend to farther distances over time.
This mid-range rifle course fits hunters who seek assured and ethical shots, as well as target shooters who enjoy pushing limits or defenders looking to build confident, dependable performance under pressure. Above all, this course is designed for marksmen who prefer real-world skills over theory. You will apply proven techniques that strengthen shooting instincts and sharpen your understanding of optics and your firearm platform. As a result, each drill helps you read conditions with greater confidence. You learn not only how to shoot well, but also why your shots land where they do. That insight turns fundamentals into a repeatable, dependable skillset.
