This basic rifle course is ideal for anyone who wants to build or refine foundational shooting skills, develop better control behind the rifle, or gain confidence before moving into more advanced rifle shooting classes or towards higher levels of field success . Whether your goal is recreational shooting, hunting, or preparing for long-range or competition work, you will leave with a stronger skillset and a clear path forward. Join us to lay the foundations for precision and consistency with the bolt rifle platform!
Part 1 is on the KISA Indoor Range, dry fire only – a jump start to range day on Saturday!
Subjects include: Scope optimization and controls, platform, position, trigger and breathing control, building a drop chart to understand what your rifle and ammo do at distance, and More!
Part 2 is on the KISA Outdoor Range, where you’ll put to work the foundational principles of Part 1, through sight in / zero confirmation, finding the balance in precision and accuracy, working on your platform and proficiency with shots to 200 yards.
Required Equipment:
– Bolt rifle equipped with a scope – bring all accessories: bolt, magazines, sling, etc as applicable
– ~40 rounds of ammo
– shooting mats are encouraged for both days
-bipod and rear bag rest (bipods available to borrow – request by March 15th)
Provided Equipment:
– Targets and backers
– Chronograph / drop cards
-Structured training starting with classroom and moving to the outdoor range (in case of inclement weather).
