Seward Alaska!
This course is for anyone 21 or more years of age who wishes to obtain a concealed handgun permit from the State of Alaska. Permits currently include NICS exemption, are currently reciprocal with 38 states, and are valid for ~5 years, expiring on your birthday in the 5th year.

Day 2: Through a series of scenario-based drills, students will refresh basic marksmanship skills and will develop and demonstrate safe and effective firearm handling. Presentation and recovery from and back to a holster, efficient reloads, and effective malfunction clearing are learned as platform mastery is encouraged. Students will engage targets from a variety of defensive distances and will be coached through critical decision making within the defensive mindset.
What: CHP Classroom – Day 1
When: Saturday, March 30th
Time: 10:00am-6:00pm
Location: Seward Fire House (Driving directions linked HERE)
Classroom towards the rear of the building, follow the signs
AND
What: CHP Range – Day 2
When: Sunday, March 31st
Time: 1:00pm-5:00pm
Location: Iron Mountain Gun Club – Directions emailed specifically, Seward Alaska
Range: 50 yard Range
Round Count: 150-200 centerfire only (no rimfire)
Students will be issued and must pass a written test as well as a shooting proficiency test for course completion.
Students are encouraged to bring a gun they already own. Firearms from our rental fleet will be provided if a personal gun becomes unusable or if fit and function difficulties are effecting safety.
A sturdy belt, outside the waistband hip holster or an approved concealed carry holster, and magazine pouch are also required, but can be borrowed from Accurate Advantage for this course.
