Our Basic Carbine 101 class introduces new and experienced shooters alike to the core skills needed to run a carbine safely and confidently. This basic carbine course blends function and breakdown learning with live-fire training to build a strong, practical foundation. Students learn how a carbine works, how to maintain it, and how to apply reliable shooting techniques on the range.

The course begins with a focus on safety, proper carbine setup, and basic firearm disassembly. You will learn simple maintenance steps and essential troubleshooting methods so you understand how the platform functions and why. Dry fire practice reinforces core concepts. You will work on positional shooting, sling use, accuracy aids, and full-platform operation before you move into live fire.

The live fire portion begins with sight-in and accuracy work from point-blank distance out to 50 yards. You will practice several types of efficient reloads, clear malfunctions, and learn to build stable shooting positions. Basic barricade drills give you the chance to test new skills in a controlled, supportive environment. The day ends with active shooting drills designed to build confidence and reinforce concept learned in class through practical application.
