DESCRIPTION:This basic rifle course is ideal for anyone who wants to build or refine foundational shooting skills\, develop better control behind the rifle\, or gain confidence before moving into more advanced rifle shooting classes or towards higher levels of field success . Whether your goal is recreational shooting\, hunting\, or preparing for long-range or competition work\, you will leave with a stronger skillset and a clear path forward. Join us to lay the foundations for precision and consistency with the bolt rifle platform! \nPart 1 is on the KISA Indoor Range\, dry fire only – a jump start to range day on Saturday!\nSubjects include: Scope optimization and controls\, platform\, position\, trigger and breathing control\, building a drop chart to understand what your rifle and ammo do at distance\, and More! \nPart 2 is on the KISA Outdoor Range\, where you’ll put to work the foundational principles of Part 1\, through sight in / zero confirmation\, finding the balance in precision and accuracy\, working on your platform and proficiency with shots to 200 yards. \nRequired Equipment:\n– Bolt rifle equipped with a scope – bring all accessories: bolt\, magazines\, sling\, etc as applicable\n– ~40 rounds of ammo\n– shooting mats are encouraged for both days\n-bipod and rear bag rest (bipods available to borrow – request by March 15th) \nProvided Equipment: \n– Targets and backers\n– Chronograph / drop cards\n-Structured training starting with classroom and moving to the outdoor range (in case of inclement weather). \nLearn more about the curriculum HERE! \nRegister HERE  – select March 20th as a date \nCourse cost: $175 – covers both rifle sessions.\nLimited to 6 students \n  \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:This course focuses on helping you build a personal process applicable to your context for effective bear defense with the handgun platform.\nYou’ll gain knowledge of what elements are necessary for bear defense\, which calibers or ammo types are most successful\, and what options offer you the best odds relative to your context.\nAdditionally\, you’ll work to build or refresh a solid foundation as you focus on stance\, grip\, and how you manage recoil to place effective impacts under pressure. \nIn this course we detail safe holster presentations\, strategic shot placement and establish why\, we stress shooting angles\, safe lanes of fire\, situational awareness\, and surgical precision\, helping you become the most prepared line of defense for yourself and for those you love. Also covered are the state requirements for reporting DLP situations\, and a strenuous course of fire to help you understand your boundaries when it comes to bear defense with the handgun platform. \nThough other types of guns may be “better” for bear defense\, we’re aware that handguns are the most carried bear defense option\, and also the platform with the steepest learning curve.
