DESCRIPTION:PRS Practice Nights have the goal of boosting proficiency and competence under pressure\, and offer instruction of core concepts most helpful to competitive performance. If you’re new to the game\, you will be introduced to common PRS style props and how to shoot from them. If you’re familiar with the game of PRS\, you’ll have the opportunity to hone your skills and prep for upcoming matches. \nBRSP Members can join free of charge!\nNon-Members: $15 guest pass \nRegister by calling Birchwood: (907) 688-2809 \nEach night will focus on a different core skill and common PRS prop. The PRS Barricade will also be available\, a consistent prop at every PRS match usually as the tie breaker stage. Learn to master it! \n100 yard paper zero targets are available and steel targets are located between 318-330 yards. Rimfires can request mid range targets (keep in mind all rounds must impact the berm. Expect rimfire steel ranges to be >150yds). \nInstruction is provided by seasoned LRSA shooters\, and props from Accurate Advantage. Training takes place in a safe\, structured environment focused on the core principles behind repeatable long-range accuracy and precision. \n\nMaster the components that support consistent impacts from 100 – 1\,000 yards\nEmphasis is on 600 – 1\,000 yard targets as skill and equipment allows\nIn a safe environment\, learn the foundational requirements behind impacts at distance\nLearn pre and post recoil control and shot spotting technique\nUnderstanding ammo\, external ballistics\, and the data behind building and truing custom dope\nUnderstand the factors most influential to precision and accuracy\nObserve wind reading fundamentals in action\, learn to make accurate wind calls and holds\nLearn the practical applications for dialing or holding over for impacts at various distances\nPractice adaptable skillsets that maintain relevance across conditions enforcing confident long range impacts\nPrerequisites: Intermediate Bolt Rifle and Mid-Range Practical Bolt Rifle or equivalent courses\n\nDay 1 – Birchwood Shooting Park 9am-4pm on A Range (330yards)\nDay 2 – Upper Susitna Shooters Association Range 10am-6pm on the 1000yd range \n\nView full course details
