"Slowpoke" Bolender — LFI, RSO
Slowpoke is a lifelong firearms enthusiast and has been a firearms instructor for over six years. After retiring from the US Army (20+ years, Honorable), he got into the action shooting sports such 3-Gun, 2-Gun, and Steel Challenge. He is an Alaska state certified Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) instructor and has both taken and instructed classes in a variety of applications of rifle, pistol, and shotgun (for several top-notch schools). Slowpoke most enjoys being on the range but if forced to choose between shooting or teaching others to shoot, he’d choose teaching every time. Fortunately, he seldom must make that choice, and he gets ample “gun-smoke aromatherapy” which keeps him from getting cranky. When he doesn’t have a valid excuse to be on the range, Slowpoke enjoys the usual Alaskan outdoor activities and living the dream in the Great Land.
