Eric Schnitter — RSO / Instructor
Eric was born in Baltimore, Maryland and spent much of his life traveling, working, and living throughout the lower 48 before moving to Alaska in 2017 and deciding to make it home. He served with the Alaska National Guard’s 1-297th Infantry beginning in 2020, completing six years of service.
Introduced to firearms in his early 20s at an indoor range in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Eric developed a strong passion for historical firearms, particularly revolvers. His favorite classes to teach are introductory and beginner courses, where he enjoys helping new shooters overcome initial fears and build confidence. His experience working both behind the counter of a firearms store and as a gunsmith gives him valuable insight into guiding first-time gun buyers through the purchasing process.
Outside of teaching, Eric enjoys life in Alaska with his wife and their two Alaskan Huskies
