What You’ll Learn in our Alaska Concealed Carry Course

This 12-hour course fulfills Alaska’s state training requirement and combines expert classroom instruction with hands-on range training. You’ll gain the skills, knowledge, and mindset needed to carry confidently and lawfully.

Topics include:

  • Defensive mindset & situational awareness

  • Alaska state self-defense law

  • Justified use of force & legal responsibilities

  • Thought processes before and after the shot

  • Real-world scenario drills & live-fire exercises

  • Firearm safety & handling fundamentals

You’ll also complete a written exam and live-fire qualification to demonstrate both legal and practical readiness to earn your concealed carry permit.

After the Alaska Concealed Carry Course

Upon successful completion, you’ll receive the necessary application forms to submit to the State of Alaska CHP. After review, your permit will be mailed directly to you.

  • Location: Accurate Advantage Training Range

  • Age Requirement: 21+ (younger ages can benefit from this training, but cannot seek certification)

Required Gear

  • Personal centerfire handgun

  • Minimum of 2 magazines (or 3 speed loaders for revolvers)

  • 200 rounds of ammo

  • Hip holster & magazine pouch (concealed holsters must be pre-approved)

  • Eye & ear protection

  • Targets & backers

  • Holsters, mag pouches & belts available to borrow
