Private Firearms Training Course Overview
Private / Customized Instruction (PCI) is our most flexible option for private firearms training. These sessions are built for one-on-one or small group coaching. As a result, we can focus on your specific needs and goals. You choose the focus and the gun platform, and then we customize the plan.
First, we start with a short conversation about your goals. For example, you might be looking to step into handgun proficiency on your timeline. Alternatively, you may be looking to shore up personal defense skills. Perhaps you’re preparing for a hunt, correcting accuracy issues, or looking to try a new platform. Courses are available in handgun, alternative defense tools, rifles, carbines, shotguns, and bear specific firearms. Once you’ve picked your subject and platform, we structure the time around building safe habits, repeatable technique, and a clearer understanding of how your firearm functions relative to your goals.
Private firearms training can also support bigger decisions. If you are looking at buying a gun, our Try Before You Buy option lets you shoot a variety of options before you invest. During that time, we teach basic firearm foundations. Additionally, we use our five point gun fit template to help you find guns that fit your body and context. The minimum booking is two hours. Furthermore, you can add a second shooter to share the experience.
Pricing: 2 hour = $180, 3 hour = $270.00, 4 hour = $320. Add a second shooter to any PCI course for just $25! (Range fees may apply for all shooters).

What You’ll Learn in Private Firearms Training
These private firearms training sessions cover several focused training paths. In Proficiency and Skill Building subjects, you work on a specific skill or type of firearm. You can train out of accuracy blocking bad habits, prepare for a hunt, reconnect with an old hobby, or maintain a competitive edge. Meanwhile, Basic Handgun, Basic Rifle, and Basic Carbine PCI sessions follow the full group course curriculum in a private format. You can run your own gun(s) or choose from our extensive training fleet.
Private Firearms for Bear coaching gives you personalized training for Alaska bear encounters. Notably, this option is popular for small corporate groups seeking certification. Data Download sessions use our long-range camera system and radar to track precision groups and velocities at distance. Consequently, you avoid constant trips downrange. This is ideal for competition prep, hunting season, or long-range class prep.
Throughout any private firearms training block, we keep the focus on safe handling, clear processes, and incremental skill growth. Range fees and ammo fired in class are invoiced separately after your training. However, firearm rental fees are waived for all PCI courses. This allows variety and an experiential focus, which ultimately lets you tailor the session to your budget and goals.
