The Alaska Professional Hunter’s Association teams up with Accurate Advantage to send ten youth ages 14-18 through an all-expenses paid Basic Rifle 101 course!

Did you draw a tag this year? Would you like to learn to shoot accurately? Are you interested in hunting? Enter to win!
In this class you’ll learn how to
- Safely handle and operate a bolt action rifle
- Sight in, and hit accurately at 25-100 yards
- Shoot from a variety of common hunting positions
- Identify animal positioning and ethical vital shots
- Shoot accurately even under stress or excitement
- Understand why hunting is important for game numbers and sustainable habitat
- Q & A with a professional Alaskan Hunting Guide
Shoot a rifle you own or use one from our training fleet. Ammo in a limited number of calibers is available.
All other training equipment is provided.
The Accurate Advantage staff are committed to safe learning for all ages and encourage you to join this great opportunity!
How To Enter:
Send an email to: office@alaskaprohunter.org or sarah@accurateadvantage.us with the following:
- Name as you’d like it to appear on your certificate
- Age you will be at the time of training
- Y or N, have you shot a rifle before?
- Contact info for you and a parent or guardian
- 2-3 sentences describing why you’d like to take this class. It could be something like: “I drew my first hunting license this year” or “I’ve never hunted before, but would love to learn how”
An entry review and drawing will be held by a panel of judges on May 21st and the winners will be immediate notified. All participants will receive information on the winning names and will be encouraged to stay tuned for future opportunities!
1st-3rd place entries will also receive a limited-edition knife from the Alaska Professional Hunter’s Association!
