Pistols and Revolvers\, and red dots are welcome! \n9:00am-1:00pm In a warm classroom environment\, you will train with SIRT laser pistols (and revolver equivalent if applicable) learning a shooter’s mindset\, proper stance\, grip\, a safe holster presentation\, sight alignment\, sight picture\, and trigger control. On your own downloaded firearm you will learn how to make your gun safe\, function the action\, dry fire and correct trigger press\, and your unique sight picture. \nAfter lunch\, we’ll meet from 2:00pm-5:00pm on the outdoor range to put our new skills to the test. DESCRIPTION:Come test your skills and grit in a more frozen environment and help us kick off the PRS season a little early this year! \n9:00am Zero Range Opens\, 9:30 Safety Brief\, 10:00am Match Start \n6 stages will focus on movement and target acquisition in this chilly fun match during a shortened match window starting and ending later in the day to capitalize on daylight hours and what warmth the sun can provide.\nWe’ve been approved for an open bon fire and a hot lunch will be cooked and served mid-match (all stages will halt for a hot lunch). Our competitors are very friendly and are often more than willing to share gear. This is a great opportunity to try gear to find out what you may want to purchase. \nPlease review the Precision Rifle Series Rimfire Rule book – linked HERE –  to find which division you qualify for (Production or Open) and if you qualify as a Senior\, Junior\, Lady\, or Military/LE. League shooters will be required to register with PRS22. You can select rimfire only\, or one of the combinations if you have centerfire aspirations. Please enter your PRS# on the Practiscore registration. \nBolt action rifles with scopes equipped with adjustable turrets are strongly recommended\, but not required. Each match has multiple distances\, so without adjustable scopes\, you will have to “hold over” small targets. For this type of shooting\, a First Focal Plane (FFP) scope is ideal. \nBRSP Members and non-members are welcome. Everyone must be checked in at the main clubhouse prior to 6pm\, and assembled at D Range by 6:15pm. The mandatory safety brief will be held at 6:15pm sharp. Help setting up earlier and staying to tear down is very much appreciated. \nPRS22 utilizes an online system called Practiscore for live match scoring\, and published results. Match booklets will be published typically about a week in advance. The match director reserves the right to make adjustments to the match\, but any updates to target selection and distance will be announced during the safety brief. \nIn addition to signup and payment through BRSP’s clubautomation page\, you will need to register for an account on https://practiscore.com\nWe are planning on having you register just once in Practiscore\, and importing your information into each match. \nRecommend you “dope” your rifle prior to the first match (recording your elevation adjustments at various yardages). DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Birchwood Rimfire Precision Rifle! This is a multi-stage 22LR match series shooting steel targets at distances up to 200 yards (100 yds for the winter season).\nSign up to shoot a single night ($35) or join the full session ($140)\, register by calling Birchwood at 907-688-2809 \nMatch Dates: Winter Session \nOctober 16th & 30th\nNovember 13th & 27th\nDecember 11th\nJanuary 8th & 22nd\, 2025 \nThis fun\, action packed match has multiple targets on each stage\, at varying distances of 15 to 200 yards. Seasoned PRS competitors often use additional equipment such as bags\, wind meters\, bipods\, and other gear If you don’t have any of those things\, please do not be intimidated. Our competitors are very friendly and are often more than willing to share gear. This is a great opportunity to try gear to find out what you may want to purchase. \nPlease review the Precision Rifle Series Rimfire Rule book – linked HERE –  to find which division you qualify for (Production or Open) and if you qualify as a Senior\, Junior\, Lady\, or Military/LE. League shooters will be required to register with PRS22. You can select rimfire only\, or one of the combinations if you have centerfire aspirations. Please enter your PRS# on the Practiscore registration. \nBolt action rifles with scopes equipped with adjustable turrets are strongly recommended\, but not required. Each match has multiple distances\, so without adjustable scopes\, you will have to “hold over” small targets. For this type of shooting\, a First Focal Plane (FFP) scope is ideal. \nBRSP Members and non-members are welcome. Everyone must be checked in at the main clubhouse prior to 6pm\, and assembled at D Range by 6:15pm. The mandatory safety brief will be held at 6:15pm sharp. Help setting up earlier and staying to tear down is very much appreciated. \nPRS22 utilizes an online system called Practiscore for live match scoring\, and published results. Match booklets will be published typically about a week in advance. The match director reserves the right to make adjustments to the match\, but any updates to target selection and distance will be announced during the safety brief. \nIn addition to signup and payment through BRSP’s clubautomation page\, you will need to register for an account on https://practiscore.com\nWe are planning on having you register just once in Practiscore\, and importing your information into each match. \nRecommend you “dope” your rifle prior to the first match (recording your elevation adjustments at various yardages). However\, prior to the first match we will have a short period to do so. Recommend you bring at least 100 rounds per match. Only 22LR permitted (no .17HMR/WSM/22Mag/etc). \nWe will have end of season awards.
