This 1 day, 2-part Intro to Carbine Course is designed for the AR-15/ M4, AK, PCC, or similar carbine owner wanting to build proficiency and confidence on this popular platform with an emphasis towards the competitive shooting sports or personal defense. This course will give the carbine shooter a solid foundation in safety, marksmanship, gun handling and basic gear considerations.
Objectives:
Rifle set up / gear configuration
Zeroing / Optic Optimizing
Basic manipulations (loading, unloading, press checks)
Mechanical offset
Close range/ long range engagement
Multiple target engagement/ transitions
Low-profile shooting (kneeling, prone positions)

Each objective will be practiced through a series of component exercises accompanied by helpful coaching.

- AR-15 / M4, or PCC with scope and/or iron sights
(AK-47 or Braced Carbine / Pistol please contact us for details) - At least 3 magazines (30 round capacity)
- 240 rounds of ammo
- Belt mounted magazine pouch (available to borrow)
- 2-point Sling – contact us if otherwise equipped
- Eye and Ear Protection
- Lunch, snacks, water for a full day in class
- Active, weather appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes or boots
